For everyone who wonders why I don’t talk about PR growth hacking any more, the short answer is simple.
Trump does it so well that talking about anything else is redundant. Now I can’t talk about Trump or people will walk out of my talks (even if I’m criticizing him, this happened to me once in New York when I brought back an old segment about his reading age).
Do you talk about politics in your copy/with your brand?
If so – why?
If not – why not?
As far as I’m concerned, for me, politics is dangerous territory.
But in the fight for the newsfeed? It may be right for *some* of you. Legendary copywriter Colin Theriot talks more Trump than anyone I know and it really works with his brand.
Recently, out of the blue, top-rated young entrepreneur Josh Forti did a pro-Trump post, resulting in hundreds of comments (many of them negative). I must admit – It was the post I engaged with the most of anything he’s put out in months, and thought about his stuff for the first time in months (a bit like the Kendall Jenner Pepsi ad which had the whole world talking about Pepsi for the first time in decades).
I wonder if this was his intention…
So, dear readers… What we saying on politics?? 🏻🏻🏻🏻
